We took our name and our inspiration from the stunning tropical bougainvillea shrub we found growing in the world's most romantic and beautiful places, like Mauritius. The sun-kissed colours of bougainvillea flowers seem to encapsulate the charm and romance of exotic locations.

Our passion for petals has been throughout our marriage, Joanna (when not teaching) has made an art of filling every available teapot, bucket, basket, and cup with flowers from the garden, farm or hedgerow.

Gary has worked as a flower grower, mostly roses, to M&S amongst many. His 10 minutes of fame came when he was featured on BBC's 'How Do They Do That', showing how Roses were produced and prepared for Valentines Day.
We have a dedicated production site for the bougainvillea, and through careful cultivation (using no pesticides or sprays) and a specially developed drying processes, have managed to capture the intrinsic beauty of this lovely petal. We believe that this is the prettiest and most natural confetti in the world, and are delighted to bring it to you.
The roses are chosen from a very large selection, working with colours from breeders around the world. We look forward to developing more exciting and colourful mixes. They really are a pleasure to work with.
