What are Bougainvillea Petals?
A native shrub of South America, this climbing plant was named after the 18th century French navigator Louis Antoine de Bougainville; and can now be found throughout the tropics, sub-tropics and in protected parts of the Mediterranean
Bougainvillea Petals are the latest and most unique contribution to the confetti tradition, inspired by the petals on warm and romantic exotic beaches.
Bougainvillea has a light and thin petal that floats beautifully as confetti, along with tropical and romantic connotations.
Biodegradable and Not Coloured or Dyed
Bougainvillea is biodegradable and is not coloured or dyed in any way making it virtually impossible to stain your clothes.
We have a range of natural colours petals chosen to compliment any wedding theme.
Provide your guests with natural bougainvillea and be rewarded with stunning photographs... Everyone will enjoy showering you with our beautiful petals!
What can they be used for?
Nature's Own Confetti
Bougainvillea petals are wonderful for throwing as confetti. They are much larger than all other petals, and being very light and thin will float really slowly and romantically. Choosing colours to compliment your theme will ensure that your photographic and video memories will be outstandingly stunning. This really is the most beautiful confetti on the planet!
Provide your guests with their own portions, either decanted from the large cartons, or given individually in our elegant handbag style or the discreet pocket sized pack.
Elegant Decorations
Decorate the reception or event by scattering on tables, fill champagne glasses with petals, sprinkle them amongst trays of canapes or aperitifs, or float in glass bowls
Scatter on tables, dance floors, walkways, aisles, stairways, lawns and pools. In fact, I can think of no limitations as to where they might be gorgeous!
Offer chocolates, favours, sweets and goodies in a pretty nest of petals.
...Sprinkle on the route to the nuptial bed, or even between the sheets!!!!
Original Stationery
Our specially developed drying process means that the petals are not brittle or stiff as many others are, and can be used to flutter from invitations, thank you's, cards and letters; as well as adding a special touch to gift wrap and craft projects
Why are our petals better than paper confetti?
Will Vicars/Registrars/Hotels allow it?
Synthetic artificial confetti has understandably prejudiced a number of officials, so you need to check with whoever is in charge at your chosen venue. We have had very positive responses to our petals from church officials and hoteliers alike. They are naturally pretty and bio degradable outside , and easy to vacuum up inside. Show them a sample and we are sure they will love it
Can I use it to decorate food?
Yes - and with completed confidence.
No pesticides are used at any time in the production of our bougainvillea petals, and you can rest assured that chefs can use them to decorate and garnish food. We do not recommend that you eat them though!
